Q: Can more than 1 kid in the household use the delivery?Asked by Ellen S., March 2021
Absolutely! Multiple coders in the same household are welcome to share one subscription. We recommend making each of them their own coding account so they can save their work separately. Email or call us if you need help setting up those accounts.
Q: I choose the $24.95 plan but am paying $29.95 plus the tax. Why am I paying $29.95?Asked by Evelyn G., July 2020
Hi there, Evelyn! I'm so sorry for any confusion. The $24.95 price is the price for the 12-month prepaid Bitsbox subscription. Our "per box" rates vary based on how long of a subscription you're signing up for. The monthly subscription is $29.95 per month, and the per-box rate is discounted for each longer subscription term (3-month, 6-month, 12-month). I hope this clarifies things!
Q: So this box does not work on an IPad. Asked by Kathleen S., September 2022
We suggest your coder uses a physical keyboard so if you have one that can connect to a tablet they can definitely use it to code with Bitsbox!
Q: If we ordered the deluxe box, could we customize it to get extra stickers, or something else instead of play tattoos?Asked by Shakira H., February 2022
Unfortunately, we are not able to customize the items that come in any of our boxes. We apologize for any inconvenience!
I really wanted sh I could leave a 5 star review as I was super excited to receive this for my son as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, it is not usable on a tablet. I asked to return and was told no. Was also told they would cancel my subscription?? I purchased ONE box only. I went ahead and gave it to him hoping we could make it work. There are absolutely no directions on how to get started. A view reference cards, that’s it.
Subscribed to one box and they renewed my subscription without permission.
Will not be subscribing again.
My son loved and it and he really enjoyed the activities in the box! Looking forward to the next box.
The bitsbox was amazing! I had a great time. I’m still making things and it is amazing.
This is an excellent resource for exposing children to the structure of code. You do not need to be technical to support your child in this endeavor. It is fun for everyone.
We are on Binder no.2! My 8 and 10 year old kids really enjoy this one. They generally drop interest in other stuff after a few activities, but they've stuck with BitsBox the longest. They really love modifying the apps an sharing them with friends. For them it's just plain fun, but they are actually learning coding principles an an actual coding language (not like with scratch). Totally worth the money!
Going by my grandsons reaction I would say it's definitely a great idea. He loved it and couldn't wait to get right into it.
As this was a gift I can not rate what was actually inside the boxes. However I can rate for the shipping being good.
This was super fun for all of us and a good learning experience.
